Windshield replacement – making a claim through insurance

Procedure

  1. Good Earth is insured through Unified Insurance Group and the process of windshield repair/replacement begins by starting a claim through their dedicated line. Dial the dedicated phone number: 1-844-325-2467 and follow the instructions outlined in the automated menu.
  2. You will speak with a representative and they will ask for the following information:
    1. Date of incident and city in which it happened
    2. Make/Model/Year of vehicle involved
    3. Vin # of vehicle involved
    4. Insurance Policy #: BAS 54923223 and billing address for Good Earth (PO Box 2227, zip = 97339)
    5. Your email and phone number
  3. Once a claim is started, they will try to connect you with Safe Flight to schedule the repair. At this time, ask that the claim go through our preferred provider instead. Good Earth’s preferred provider is:
    1. The Glass Man Inc. (541) 760-2277
  4. Sometimes, the representative can link you directly to The Glass Man (Jake) in real time. Often, Jake will return your call later to schedule an appointment.

Scheduling an appointment:

  1. Work with The Glass Man to schedule a time for windshield replacement. If the vehicle does not have a speed sensor (for auto braking or adaptive cruise control typically) than the replacement can be done remotely. Coordinate a day where the vehicle can be kept at the Good Earth office (the primary driver is not working or can utilize another vehicle). For Home Services, the replacement can also be done at a job location if they are onsite for 4 hours or more in Corvallis or Albany (at an exclusion job for example).
  2. If the vehicle has a speed sensor, then the replacement must be done at their shop in Albany. This will require that vehicle going unused for the day as well as it being dropped off before the appointment. Vehicle drop off will and pick up will require two technicians.
  3. Create the proper time blocks in PestPac (using a different vehicle, vehicle drop off, meeting onsite, etc.)
