Materials and Equipment
- Black felt pen
- Grid paper
Procedure
- Once you have set rodent traps (see HS.200) at a client’s house or business, it is important to document their placement for other technicians.
- First use your black felt pen and grid paper to draw a diagram of the building with a basic outline. Using a map program like Google Earth can sometimes be helpful in creating an accurate diagram.
- Add the locations of the crawlspace and attic accesses. Use arrows to indicate entrance and direction.
- Add an X to indicate where each individual trap is located.
- Include any other information that would be helpful for other technicians.
- At the top of the map, make sure to write:
a. Date and your initials
b. Client #
c. Client last name or business name
d. Number of traps, location, and trap type (R = Rat , M = Mouse)
